May Regatta 2017
Four days at sea, anchoring in bays, and one night stage. That was this year's regatta race in Croatia.
The May Regatta has successfully completed its 17th year. The base was the marina in Kremik, where the race returned last year after several years in northern Dalmatia. Ten crews competed in the one-design class on Salona 38 boats.
Participants enjoyed an awards ceremony at a restaurant in Kremik and received valuable prizes from the regatta's partners – Helly Hansen, BMW Auto Kopecký, Ledlenser, Leatherman, WileyX, Adventure Menu, Zindulka, R Store – Bose. The main prize was two checks worth EUR 1,000 for a charter, donated by the Prague Yacht Club to Matěj Novák, grandson of Jiří Jelínek, founder of the May Regatta.
As a memento of him, the captain of the winning crew, RODODENDRON, Jan Dvořák, received a golden statue of a deer. Second place went to Vladimír Smolka's SPIRIT TEAM, and third place was won by Libor Dostál's ALTERNA team.
