MORIS design launches another May Regatta
For the third year running, MORIS design is organizing one of the most prestigious regattas for enthusiastic captains. The 16th May Regatta will start in Croatia on May 2. The four-day offshore race will test the sailing skills of 15 Czech crews, traditionally including a night stage. The regatta has returned to the marina in Kremik, where it began 16 years ago.
Three years ago, the regatta changed owners when Jiří Jelínek, a prominent figure in Czech yachting, handed it over to MORIS design, which continuously strives to improve the quality of the race. One of the many improvements is the ability to continuously monitor the race with the current position of the boats.
In honor of the regatta's founder, Jiří Jelínek, who passed away this year, the overall winner will receive a golden deer statuette.
This year's route is planned around the islands of Brač, Šolta, and Hvar. In addition to racing, participants will also see beautiful places such as Pakleni Otoci and the bays of the island of Sv. Klement – weather and Neptune permitting, of course.
